  3.   This is a preliminary release of the all new Canine Express HST version! If
  4.   you are running K9X v8.8,  you must run CONVFON.EXE to convert  your  K9X.P
  5.   dialing directory to the new K9XHST.FON format.  To install the new K9X HST
  6.   version,  simply run K9XINST.  It will unpack the main program library  and
  7.   step you through the installation process.

  9.   PLEASE NOTE:  The first question encountered when installing K9X HST is the
  10.   option to read in a prior K9X HST version configuration.  This option  will
  11.   only  work  with  an  earlier version of K9X HST (version 1.10 is the FIRST
  12.   public release)... it will not work with K9X v8.8!

  14.   K9X HST uses a number of external protocol drivers from various authors. If
  15.   you do not have the  following protocol drivers, you will need K9XHST-2.ZIP
  16.   to complete the K9X program set:

  18.                  DSZ                PUMA.EXE
  19.                  LYNX               PCKERMIT.EXE
  20.                  BIMODEM            CIS.EXE

  22.   Additionally, if you intend to us PC-Pursuit you will need either  ICEX  or
  23.   ADIAL, both of which are in K9XHST-3.ZIP

  27.   As  you  will  see  by  the  opening  screen,  this  preliminary release is
  28.   dedicated to the men and  women  who  were  (and  still  are)  involved  in
  29.   Operation  Desert  Storm.  Whether  you  supported  the  war effort or not,
  30.   please show your support to these courageous people who served our  country
  31.   in  its  time  of  need.  To the families and friends of those who made the
  32.   ultimate sacrifice, we at Crater Rim offer our deepest condolences and pray
